INTERIOR REDESIGN

INTERIOR REDESIGN

My approach to Redesign is to keep everything as simple as possible by not having to buy new things or get involved in extensive projects, unless, that is your choice. You’d be amazed by how fresh and unique your home can look when arranged with a little help from a Redesigner who is trained to implement balance, color, scale and texture with the items you already own.

How To Start: The Redesign process begins with a brief consultation. This consultation can take place in person (my preference), on the phone or even via email. We will discuss the room(s) you would like to enhance and I will ask you questions about your taste, lifestyle, and decorating goals as well as details about your room and furniture. To capture the rhythm and soul of who you are and how you live is essential to me to help you make your house into your home. If during our initial consultation it appears that what you really need are more extensive services such as structural changes and remodeling, etc., I will let you know right up front that my services will not meet your needs. Your satisfaction is my top priority. In that situation, I will gladly refer you to professional and expert trades people who you can choose to use or not. Perhaps after the more involved renovations take place you will choose to have me come in to help you with your decorating design.

Once we mutually agree that a redesign is the type of service you need and want, we will schedule a time for your room’s makeover to take place.

When I arrive to your home, I will start the redesign process by taking a number of pictures of the room to be redesigned before any work is done. Next, I will completely clear the room of everything. This is the best way to assess its features. Next, with your permission, I will ‘shop’ other areas of your home for treasures you already own that will complement my design concept for your room. To finish the transformation, I will start layering in your rug(s), furniture, lighting and accessories until your new room is complete and ready for your enjoyment.

PLEASE NOTE: Should you be inspired during our redesign consultation to incorporate a more extensive project than you originally thought, then I ask that  $75.00  be paid at the end of our initial consultation. When your added project is complete and you are ready to call me back to execute the redesign, that $75.00 will be applied towards any balance due.

Design Tip:

Use odd numbers. For Example: the number of shelves on a bookshelf should be 3 or 5. Also, use odd numbers when selecting items for vignettes on a tabletop or for a mantle or even for the planters on your front entry.
